The Sun and the Lion

-The sun and the lion-

The sun keeps us,

Warms us,

Lights our way;

Helps our mood,

Grows our food,

And lets us count our days.

The sun’s majesty is too mighty

To take in with a direct stare;

To see the sun, gaze upon the lion.

The lion perfectly plays his part.

The lion rules on earth.

Who can delay the sun

Or contend with the lion?
